Here is my casa, I have a private little courtyard as seen here, It's a gated townhome basically. I live in Letter B here on the Left and that's my window! What I look out of every morning! Presh right?!
Here is the Plaza de Cervantes. That statue looks like Shakespeare... but It's Cervantes. :) There's a gazebo, a university there in the back, and it has been declared a prime spot for people watching.
Here is the Puerta de Madrid. I don't think we were allowed to be back here, but there were no signs against it...
Watching Futbol with the locals in a bar. Yeah... We're super Spanish. It was so fun! Madrid vs. Munich... They kinda lost, which was bad... Out of the Europe Cup.
Here is the Cathedral in Segovia. Gorgeous (From the Outside), we didn't get to go inside unfortunately.
Here is the famous Aqueduct of Segovia. Oldest one in the world, built by the Romans in the 1st century A.D. It went for 800m to bring the water from the mountains to the city, rather than bringing the city to the water. A little backwards, I thought.
And the famous Gardens of La Granja. It belongs to the Grandson of Louis the 14th in France. The gardens are definitely a replica of Versaille, but a little less impressive... but still fantastic! The day was foggy and added to the creepy aura of walking around a garden by ourselves. Absolutely Gorgeous!
Juju I love seeing all these pictures! I have all the same ones from my study abroad... don't you just love Alcala? Go into Madrid as much as you can and just LOVE the whole time you're there! I'm so jealous and excited for you.
